Health Update: Measles Preparedness Guidance from Department of Health
Dear Moses Lake School District Families,
We want to share a brief health update as part of our ongoing commitment to keeping our schools safe and well-informed.
Grant County Health District recently provided school districts with general measles preparedness information due to confirmed cases in other parts of Washington and the United States. This information is being shared as a preventive and preparedness step, not in response to any local case.
Grant County Health reminds families of long-standing public health practices, such as keeping students home when they are ill and notifying schools of illnesses that may impact others.
If a measles case were ever identified in a school setting, Grant County Health District would lead the public health response, including guidance related to notifications, exclusion, and return-to-school timelines. Moses Lake School District would support this process and share information with families as directed by public health officials.
For questions related to measles or public health guidance, families are encouraged to follow information provided by Grant County Health District or consult their healthcare provider.
Thank you for helping us keep our schools healthy.![]()
